Helio Castroneves won the mirrorball trophy on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, but lost his fiancee, Aliette Vazquez. Less than a day after Castroneves was declared the winner, Vazquez, a Miami-based business executive, announced she had called off her engagement to the Brazilian race-car driver. Well, he did a great job with the show. Hopefully, this will work out in the future for the both of them. I really did enjoy watching the show last night. We will stay in touch with this story.

2. Carrie Underwood

Two country music superstars plan to play in Roanoke early next year.

The Roanoke Civic Center says Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood will hold a concert in the star city on Saturday February 16th, 2008. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 30th.

The show is part of a 24 city tour the pair will be on entitled "Love, Pain, and the whole crazy Carnival Ride" tour. The name combines the titles of each singer's most recent albums, according to a news release from the Civic Center.

"I'm looking forward to hitting the road with Carrie, and to bringing our audiences together for what I think will be a magical night of sights, sounds, songs and solos," said Urban in the news release.

"I can't think of a better person to begin 2008 with than Keith," shares Underwood in the news release. "He is an amazing entertainer and a well-respected musician, singer and songwriter."

I can't wait until this concert hit the road. She is a wonderful singer with great songs.



3. The Rockefeller Center Christmas

This tree is a wonderful annual celebration for the whole country.

His wife, Tameka Foster, gave birth to their son, Usher Raymond V, in Atlanta on Monday night, a publicist for the 29-year-old singer said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces. He is the couple's first child. Foster, 37, has three children from a previous marriage.

"We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son. What a blessing!" Usher said in a statement provided Tuesday night by publicist Patti Webster.

Congrats to mom and day, we are looking forward to seeing the pictures on the little one soon.

5. Rare Faberge egg sold for record price in London

Recently-discovered rare Faberge egg was sold for a record sum of nearly nine million pounds (12.5 million euros, 18.5 million dollars) on Wednesday, the auction house Christie's in London said.

The intricate treasure was made in 1902 by Peter Carl Faberge for the Rothschild banking family and contains a diamond-encrusted cockerel which pops out every hour to flap its wings and nod its head while crowing.

The prized object was snapped up by Russian collector Alexander Ivanov, head of the Russian National Museum, currently under construction and slated to be the country's biggest private museum.

What an egg. This is a really nice egg but I am a little surprise about the prize of the egg.
